CCF online for this Sunday!

I wasnt able to visit CCF Church last Sunday because of  overtime requirements, so I decided to browse through their website and  listen to God's words as soon as I wake up early Monday morning. I was able to watch this sunday's service through this link:(http://www.ccf.org.ph/through-brokenness/) and they talked about INTIMACY THROUGH BROKENNESS. Pastor Bong talked about the opporutnity of intimacy through trial times. The Bible verse from Genesis focused on Jacob, and how he struggled for God's blessings even though God has already promised blessings over his brother Esau. The summary of this service touched my heart as I openly admit that I, myself struggled over with what God wanted to establish into my life eventhough I knew in my heart, He has greater plans for me. Then I was reminded of this bible verse from Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope in the future.

Today, I 've learned the importance of trusting God and the danger of going out of way to do things on our own. It is never God's plan to harm us, He always wants what's best for us. The only time we put ourselves to danger is when we decided to do things our way. Not only do we go against what God planned for us, we also go against the blessings instored for us when we go through the track He wanted for us.

For 4 years, my Alma Matter was and still is the University of Santo Tomas .  There are a lot of reasons to be proud of this University. The Character built within each and every students who enroll in this campus are remarkable and I can say made us, Filipinos proud of our race.  For Centuries (400 years), Catholic catechism has been the basis of the University's teachings. When I took up Fine arts back in 2002, there are less lectures and more on hands-on drawings and labs. This means lesser class hours for Christian living lessons *sigh. Less time, but unforgettable teachings. How can I forget my professor, Mr. Cura? He was 65 years old back then, but still he was teaching. He was a real emblem of PASSION, PATIENCE. He was a real inspiration for everyone whom he shared his life with. Hope For Haiti now

6 continents, 60 countries, 60 International Networks.. Different people all over the world joined towards one goal and that is to help our Haitian people. Helping from the other side of the world may not have the same impact when you have close encounter with the Haitian victims of the Earthquake that happened last January 12. Thanks to CNN and online streaming, people here in my country were able to keep in touch and it feels like we're not too far at all. I was one of the people tasked to do a brief training to those who volunteered for the telethon organized for hopeforhaitinow. At first, I was hesitant. The Nurse- Edith Shain sure felt butterflies in her tummy back when this lovable soldier gave her a kiss when the World war II ended.
