Encounter: September 15, 2014

I woke up at around pass 12 in the morning today as the cold breeze comes through the window, thanks to typhoon "Luis" Who caused this type of weather now. I've been suffering through this Cold-Intolerance since I was younger,just so you know. So I stood up and grab a snack since I felt something in my tummy. I searched through the different cable channels and toggled between the Basketball TV channel and ANC. I was interested in FIBA Championship but I was also concerned about the weather news because of the typhoon that approached the country today. In short, I chose ANC and read through the different side news while looking for some announcements. Without my knowledge, there is a video being played at the center part of the screen while I was busy reading through the side announcements. It was BO Sanchez, preaching.


I have known Bo Sanchez through friends in social media. I've read a lot of good things about him but never really seen or heard him preach the word of God. In awe, I listened and within the first minute of me sitting and listening to him , he suddenly mentioned a phrase that really pricked my heart : "Do not be ashamed of anything else but sin." After hearing these words, tears kept falling from my eyes. It was just a very quick overview of his preaching, without me even realizing the video ended. Right there and then, I knew God was trying to encourage me on a certain situation. God is good all the time! He never cease using people to keep all those whom He loves moving forward.



Rev 2:2-5 "I know your doings and your toil and patient suffering. And I know that you cannot tolerate wicked men, but have put to the test those who say that they themselves are Apostles but are not, and you have found them to be liars. And you endure patiently and have borne burdens for My sake and have never grown weary. Yet I have this against you--that you no longer love Me as you did at first. Be mindful, therefore, of the height from which you have fallen. Repent at once, and act as you did at first, or else I will surely come and remove your lamp stand out of its place--unless you repent."

For 4 years, my Alma Matter was and still is the University of Santo Tomas .  There are a lot of reasons to be proud of this University. The Character built within each and every students who enroll in this campus are remarkable and I can say made us, Filipinos proud of our race.  For Centuries (400 years), Catholic catechism has been the basis of the University's teachings. When I took up Fine arts back in 2002, there are less lectures and more on hands-on drawings and labs. This means lesser class hours for Christian living lessons *sigh. Less time, but unforgettable teachings. How can I forget my professor, Mr. Cura? He was 65 years old back then, but still he was teaching. He was a real emblem of PASSION, PATIENCE. He was a real inspiration for everyone whom he shared his life with. Apart from the great teachings and lectures I had with Mr. Cura, the University's annual activities being held like "PASKUHAN" is one of the reasons why I dearly love my Alma Matte

Hope For Haiti now

6 continents, 60 countries, 60 International Networks.. Different people all over the world joined towards one goal and that is to help our Haitian people. Helping from the other side of the world may not have the same impact when you have close encounter with the Haitian victims of the Earthquake that happened last January 12. Thanks to CNN and online streaming, people here in my country were able to keep in touch and it feels like we're not too far at all. I was one of the people tasked to do a brief training to those who volunteered for the telethon organized for hopeforhaitinow. At first, I was hesitant. The Nurse- Edith Shain sure felt butterflies in her tummy back when this lovable soldier gave her a kiss when the World war II ended. This Kiss was supposed to be a sign of love between the two of them, and the  the two of them only.
