My Year-ender blog (Cheers 2013)

I haven't had the chance to post blogs for the last 2 months of the year 2013. Was I too busy ? or did I just forgot all about my quiet time? *sigh.

I must admit, I kinda lost track of my quiet time towards the end of the past year.

But every now and then I longed for HIM. - micamics



Every night before our nightly prayer routine, I end up crying for reasons only my heart can tell. For those of you who had been following my blog, I remember professing the purpose of this blog for the year 2013 when I wrote my year-ender blog last December 2012.



I guess I can still proudly say that I had fulfilled my purpose for the past year :D Reading through my past blogs, I can proudly say the Lord has been with me all year long. His presence, His love and His faithfulness had been abundantly evident through my everyday walk with Him. From blessings as simple as waking up in the morning and sleeping with gabby wrapped around my arms, to as complex as Healing a broken heart and showing me and my family the signs of miracles.These are one of those moments I cant stop writing for Him.



In conclusion, my 2013 only evolved in the bible verse stated below. He was with us all along, and I know He will continue to stay in our hearts and in our lives this way.

Colossians 3:1-4

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

For 4 years, my Alma Matter was and still is the University of Santo Tomas .  There are a lot of reasons to be proud of this University. The Character built within each and every students who enroll in this campus are remarkable and I can say made us, Filipinos proud of our race.  For Centuries (400 years), Catholic catechism has been the basis of the University's teachings. When I took up Fine arts back in 2002, there are less lectures and more on hands-on drawings and labs. This means lesser class hours for Christian living lessons *sigh. Less time, but unforgettable teachings. How can I forget my professor, Mr. Cura? He was 65 years old back then, but still he was teaching. He was a real emblem of PASSION, PATIENCE. He was a real inspiration for everyone whom he shared his life with. Hope For Haiti now

6 continents, 60 countries, 60 International Networks.. Different people all over the world joined towards one goal and that is to help our Haitian people. Helping from the other side of the world may not have the same impact when you have close encounter with the Haitian victims of the Earthquake that happened last January 12. Thanks to CNN and online streaming, people here in my country were able to keep in touch and it feels like we're not too far at all. I was one of the people tasked to do a brief training to those who volunteered for the telethon organized for hopeforhaitinow. At first, I was hesitant. But setting myself aside, I began thinking of the help, support and motivation I could give to colleagues who are willing to help out to the Haitian community.I was so overwhelmed when I see batches of trainees come and go out of the training room, and then after 30 minutes they were empowered and ready to take in calls. The Nurse- Edith Shain sure felt butterflies in her tummy back when this lovable soldier gave her a kiss when the World war II ended. This Kiss was supposed to be a sign of love between the two of them, and the  the two of them only. They never imagined that the magic of this kiss will last a century and will be part of our History. Letters to Juliet featured this Historical image when Amanda Seyfried (Sophie) played as a Fact finder and researcher for a prominent Paper in New york. She was a hopeless romantic girl who was engaged to someone she's not sure if she's in love with.
