Last August 23,2010 marked  the most tragic, disappointing and shameful hostage drama I ever witnessed in my entire life. The first time the news about it was aired on National television, I quietly said to myself  "This won't take long.. I do pray the authorities give out the hostage-taker's plea immediately.." I was at the mall with my daughter when I first had a sneak about it inside a money transfer store so I haven't had the chance to really dig into the details as to who the hostage- taker was, and what he wanted in the first place. It was 11 am then, we got home, took a nap beside my daughter and I woke up past 2 pm only to realize that the media are now keeping their camera's on this Bus with the hostages and hostage-takers inside it. It was only then that I realized that the hostage-taker was a previous PNP ( Philippine National Police ) officer, Rolando Mendoza, who was dismissed last year due to a violation and all he really wanted was justice. The doctors should treat each patient differently, ask questions, and listen. In our case, I told this doctor that my daughter has cough for almost a month now and the doctors including my daughter's pedia heard that her lungs are clear whenever they listen through it. It turned out that my daughter had viral fever which was caused by pneumonitis. If only this gay doctor from the ER last saturday LISTENED. I can say that I haven't really moved on since the day my previous employer decided to let me go, considering the skills I share is  sooo o incomparable ! (nobody react please! For 4 years, my Alma Matter was and still is the University of Santo Tomas .  There are a lot of reasons to be proud of this University. The Character built within each and every students who enroll in this campus are remarkable and I can say made us, Filipinos proud of our race.  For Centuries (400 years), Catholic catechism has been the basis of the University's teachings. When I took up Fine arts back in 2002, there are less lectures and more on hands-on drawings and labs. This means lesser class hours for Christian living lessons *sigh. Less time, but unforgettable teachings. How can I forget my professor, Mr. Cura? He was 65 years old back then, but still he was teaching. He was a real emblem of PASSION, PATIENCE. He was a real inspiration for everyone whom he shared his life with. (Pilyang Kerubin from GMA7) This Soap -opera is aired on GMA's Primetime slot every weekdays and I must admit, me and my daughter simply just cant take our eyes off our television from 6 pm onwards (Starting off the night with Langit sa Piling mo ). I have to make sure that dinner's served before 6 so gabby and I can stay in front of the TV and watch without distractions.
