A Classic Love story

The Nurse- Edith Shain sure felt butterflies in her tummy back when this lovable soldier gave her a kiss when the World war II ended. This Kiss was supposed to be a sign of love between the two of them, and the  the two of them only. They never imagined that the magic of this kiss will last a century and will be part of our History.

Letters to Juliet featured this Historical image when Amanda Seyfried (Sophie) played as a Fact finder and researcher for a prominent Paper in New york. She was a hopeless romantic girl who was engaged to someone she's not sure if she's in love with. They went to Verona, Italy to rekindle the love they had for each other only to find out that the love of her life now is not the one she ever wanted in the first place. Sophie bumped into a group of writers  named "secretaries of Juliet" who writes and answers letters written for Juliet from women all over the world who were seeking for answers regarding matters of the heart. She participated with them in order to pursue her passion for writing and was lucky enough to see a letter hidden behind walls of the building where the play "Romeo and Juliet" is constantly being re-enacted while the broken hearted maidens write their own matters of the heart. This letter came from Vanessa Redgrave (Claire) but was written 50 years ago. Because of Sophie's advise to Claire, an old-aged woman dropped by the office one day seeking assistance from Sophie to accompany her through the journey of finding her forgotten love. This journey of Love was intended for Claire, and to Sophie's surprise, became her journey too.

Have a sneak peak of this movie, here

Some of the lines I loved on this movie:

I don’t know what a love like that feels like… a love to leave loved ones for, a love to cross oceans for… but I’d like to believe if I ever felt it. I’d have the courage to seize it. I hope you had the courage to seize it, Claire. And if you didn’t, I hope one day that you will.

Doubt thou stars are fire
Doubt that the sun doth move
Doubt truth be a liar
But never doubt I love

‘What’ and ‘if’ two words as nonthreatening as words come. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: ‘What if?’…”
