It is true when they say: When you get older, your choices in life become simpler . Today, I chose to celebrate a milestone in a simplest way possible. Today marked my 30th year of existence instead of asking for something material and celebrate it as others celebrate a milestone (i.e, 18th birthday, 30th, 40th or 50th...) I felt glad and thanked God for allowing me to celebrate this day with my family (complete and healthy)  As I prayed to the Lord at the start of my special day, He talked to me through the Holy spirit that the simplest people are the ones that are the happiest. And Religion doesn't really divide people of different faith.   Yes, I sought solidarity in a simple but elegant Church nearby named Sto. Nino at Maligaya Park Subdivision. I was expecting a quiet time with the Lord since I lost it for the past few months. A Mother's love is the second greatest love ever created, second to God's love . When you are deeply in love with your child all of you suddenly becomes all of your child's until there was nothing left that you can call your own. You and your child has become one in spirit and you are lifeless without the other part.  Just the thought of loosing her makes your heart pounds faster and suddenly finds yourself thrilled and cold, you find yourself just snapped out of a bad dream because she is just standing there staring at you after a few seconds of blank stare. You get to have a lot of arguments and most of the time she doesn't agree with what you have to say and neither do you. But that's OK, it doesn't matter who won the argument anyway. At the end of the day, you talk things out and cry until everything is back to normal.  She becomes your best girl friend as you strive to be part of every inch of her everyday life. She has the power to make you smile afte

"Mama, may sakit ka ba? Gusto mo subuan kita sa bowl?" It took me seven years to realize how good it is to eventually feel this Genuine kind of love. A simple but heart-felt question from my daughter that made all the insecurities, sadness, exhaustion--  all go away. I can never ask for any kind of love but my daughter's. I thank God for Gabby!

I woke up at around pass 12 in the morning today as the cold breeze comes through the window, thanks to typhoon " Luis " Who caused this type of weather now. I've been suffering through this Cold-Intolerance since I was younger,just so you know. So I stood up and grab a snack since I felt something in my tummy. I searched through the different cable channels and toggled between the Basketball TV channel and ANC. I was interested in FIBA Championship but I was also concerned about the weather news because of the typhoon that approached the country today. In short, I chose ANC and read through the different side news while looking for some announcements. Proverbs 22:6 "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." September 6 marked a very special day for me and Gabby and all those who loved gabby dearly. It is my daughter's 7th Birthday Celebration! It was a 2- week preparation, tiring but very fulfilling. Up to the last minute, before the party started, I was exhausted (understatement)  My almost three-week vacation leave was not enough to regain the emotional and physical strength to return to my daily normal routine as a working solo parent. All the exhaustion during the preparation is nothing compared to the joy I saw when gabby's face lit up during the birthday party celebration. There are those types of friends you get along with because you share the same interest in a certain field. There are soul-sister type of friends that has a totally different interest as yours but your hearts seem to communicate with one another easily, without even knowing why and how that happened. There are friends-with-benefit type of friends and we cant help but have more of these types of people due to the innate need and greediness we have in this world. Philippians 1:6(NIV) 6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. I've been meddling with some thoughts for a few days now, Its about a major decision I was about to do in the coming days. I forgot to run unto HIM and failed to took shelter under HIS presence. Or maybe I was too proud and ashamed to do so. It was only on this day that I decided to open my heart and dwell in HIS presence. Just when I was about to open my heart in prayer, HE already answered. Just like that - He answered. Upon reading this: "he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion" made me burst into tears. Then I realized, It is all done through Jesus Christ who made all the Heavens and the Earths. I thank you Lord for your unending Grace-- it is where I truly belong.
